Villeroy & Boch Subway 440 is a sink designed for undermount installation. This installation is recommended for natural stone, marble, composite material, or glass countertops. The edge of the sink is sealed with a sealing material, and the sink is attached from underneath with special mounting brackets. We do not recommend installing the undermount sink into wooden or laminate countertops, as frequent contact with water could damage the edges of the countertop.
The surface of the Villeroy & Boch Subway 440 sink is treated with the CeramicPlus system. This means that the sealed non-porous ceramic surface prevents dirt, cooking waste, and unsightly limescale from sticking to your kitchen sink. The time spent in the kitchen will thus become a real pleasure.

His successor, Pierre-Joseph Boch, developed a new composition of ceramics (calcite ceramics) that could replace the previously very popular and expensive porcelain. In 1836, he joined forces with competitor Nicolas Villeroy and they began doing business together. Thanks to their shared know-how and the use of modern technologies for their time, Villeroy & Boch became globally renowned. Success in ceramics was not enough, and the company soon opened its own glassworks. Villeroy & Boch collaborated with leading artists and received prestigious commissions one after another.
